We are organizing an exhibition at the "Arts and Sciences" interface, focusing on the fascinating world of algae, whether planktonic and microscopic or forming vast underwater forests off our coasts. This immersive exhibition features original works by artists inspired by seaweed, such as Caroline Desnoëttes' IGLOO OPUS II, featuring sounds recorded in kelp forests, magnificent photographs of macro- and microalgae (photographers: Erwan Amice, Sébastien Colin, Wilfried Thomas & Marie Walde), and the "Planktonarium" dome created as part of the Plankton Planet project.

More information on the artists (notably their biographies) here.

- Silent Auction (with food and drink !) organized by the French Phycological Society on Tuesday 22nd August at 6:00pm to support students grants and awards as well as Artist's exhibitions. At a silent auction, also known as a closed bid auction, auction items are usually displayed with a description and a starting price. Interested participants can submit bids for the items they are interested in by writing their bids on a form. The bids are then collected, and the winner is usually the person with the highest bid.

We encourage you to participate! Please take something from your lab/home/country that you can offer during the silent auction, ideally something related to our beloved algae or their environments!
